How to submit your design:
Create your art
- Download TeeZen design submission template below by clicking the desired t-shirt color's template. We currently offer 6 different colors (3 dark and 3 light) of t-shirts. Each template contains men & women shots only in front view.
- You can use any of your favorite software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Corel draw to create your art.
- As of now, we print only on the front side of the t-shirt, including front side of the sleeve.
- Make sure your art's base color must be one of our offered six t-shirt colors.
- Your artwork should not contain more than 4 colors in it.
- Make sure to create your art at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and to the approximate size that the design should be printed.
- We know everyone loves oversized printing on t-shirt. Like printing on sleeve or neck rib etc. If your artwork is designed for oversized printing, then it is preferred to keep number of colors in design as low as possible.
- Please ensure the design must be your own original work and must not be taken from any other resources or contain any copyright material.
- Place your created art on your desired colored t-shirt(s) that you found in our design template.
Design suggestions/requirements
- We love over sized printing on the t-shirt. Design should cover at least 70% area of the front side of the t-shirt.
- For a relatively better screen printing result, try to use less color in your art. Unnecessary colors make the print heavy and not attractive.
- We recommend artworks those are based upon some creative concepts or convey some contemporary message, rather than something very abstract. Try to keep your art simple yet elegant that attracts more customers. If your design has certain meanings or conveys message then customer can easily co-relate with it and chances of sell gets increased.
- Select the placement of your art on t-shirt wisely. Our experience suggests eccentric placement (off-center) attracts more customers.
- TeeZen is all about "awesome designers t-shirts", so please avoid any traditional shape designs (square, rectangle, circle etc) or photographic art.
Submit your design
- You just need to submit a low-resolution version of your design preferably in png or gif.
- Use design submission form available at (shown in right hand side of this page) to submit your design. You will receive an automated e-mail as receipt confirming your submission.
- We will review your design to make sure that it follows all submission rules and agrees to terms and conditions. Once your design gets approved (in 24 to 48 hours), it will be available for rating by TeeZen users for next 15 days. If your design is disapproved, then you will receive an email from us with explanation as why it has been disapproved. You can always re-submit design after making changes.
How does a design get selected as a winner?
- Based upon design's performance, we will pick the winning design. Performance will be measured by many factors such as (but not limited to) design's final rating, user comments, how active are those users, who has commented or rated your design, how many times design has been shared or mentioned in online social networking places (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Digg, RSS, blogs etc.) etc. Our smart algorithm will help us to measure all the performance key factors and filter out fraud rating or un-ethical performance enhancement efforts.
- We select up to 2 designs as winner per week. And they get published on Monday and Thursday every week.
Possible design rejection reasons.
- Copyright violation or duplicate submission.
- Design should be big enough to cover at least 70% area of the front side of the t-shirt and your design may not big enough to cover that much area.
- Design has been unnecessarily stretched to cover 70% area of the t-shirt, while it was not required.
- Design needs more work.
- Design is currently published or running on any other site.
- Submission did not follow our guidelines.
- Submission is missing any required file or submitted files are corrupted.
- Poor image quality.
- Design has offensive or inappropriate content.
- Unnecessary use of many colors.
- Design contains only or too much text.
- Printing is not feasible for us.
- Any other reason, which can be explained, if design gets rejected.
What will be the award for winning design?
- Your name/brand/autograph may be printed on the t-shirt label.
- USD 300, where USD 250 will be given in cash and rest USD 50 will be given as TeeZen store credit.

Anyone who wants to submit his/her design to be considered for printing at TeeZen.com and its subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter collectively "TeeZen"), must agree to following terms and conditions:
By submitting your design, you may not reproduce, sell, or submit the design to others for any commercial purpose for twenty (20) working days after the date of submission while the design is being evaluated by TeeZen. If your design has been selected then you will be notified within eighteen (20) days as which date it will be printed on t-shirt as "tee of the day" and you will be requested to send design in high resolution and in actual specified size. If the hi-resolution artwork is deemed unsuitable for print as determined by TeeZen, TeeZen will notify you of the reason(s) for its determination by email and will make a good-faith effort to assist you in presenting a suitable hi-resolution format. You must keep your design selection result confidential and not disclose to anyone until the printing day. Also you may not reproduce, sell, or submit the design to others for any commercial purpose till the printing day of your design.
TeeZen reserves the right to make any necessary minor modification(s) to submitted designs and any other final decisions pertaining to t-shirt colors, design's colors, printing methods, design's size and placement in order to conform artwork to printing requirements or feasibility.
If your design gets selected as one of the winners in the design contest, then we will print it on the t-shirt and will be available for sale in TeeZen store. You will receive total $300, in which $250 will be cash while rest $50 will be TeeZen store credit, that you can use anytime to buy anything from TeeZen.com. You acknowledge and agree that you assign to TeeZen the entire right, title, and interest in and to the copyright in your design for its sole and exclusive use on and in connection with t-shirts. You also acknowledge and agree that you waive all "moral" rights that you may have in and to your design. So basically you can still do whatever you want with your design (use it in your portfolio, print and sell on non-apparel, etc) as long as it isn't used for commercial apparel purposes.
If your design is not selected for print by TeeZen, you are free to use the design for any commercial or non-commercial purpose. However if your design is used elsewhere, you must notify TeeZen by email to designers@teezen.com about where and when the design will be (was) used, so that if necessary, it can be removed from the TeeZen at that time.
You acknowledge and agree that TeeZen design submission template files are copyrighted by TeeZen and you will not use it anywhere other than TeeZen.com for any purpose.
You acknowledge and agree that the design you are submitting to www.TeeZen.com is your own original work, and does not contain any trademarks, logos, copyrighted material, or any other intellectual property belonging to any third party, or any material, which TeeZen in its sole discretion, deems to be profane or offensive. If your design gets printed and we find out that this rule is broken, you will have to pay for the costs of making it right (lawyer fees, printing/shirt costs, etc. ) and you will be completely responsible for this breach and any one's claim will be your responsibility. In addition, if the design is used or reproduced for commercial purposes elsewhere, you cannot use any of the TeeZen's web pages as to promote the design or the company using the design or the products and services of any company that operates in competition with TeeZen.
Hereby, you acknowledge and agree that TeeZen reserves the right to decline or to select a design for consideration for any specified or unspecified reason(s), including poor design, as further explained in the "Possible design rejection reasons" written above, which is subject to change at any given point of time.
Payment shall be based on the terms in effect soon as the design is selected. You alone will be responsible for the payment of any tax that arises as a result of receiving payment from TeeZen. Your winning money will be sent via PayPal or by Check, per your wish, within ninety (90) working days from the day, we receive your high resolution image suitable for the printing.
TeeZen reserve the right to make updates to these terms as necessary.
